Google Chromebooks Now Available to Buy at Amazon

The wait is finally over! Google Chromebooks are here and ready for you to by at Amazon.com. If you live outside of the USA then unfortunately they are not available to you yet, but if you absolutely have to buy one now then you can do so through a package forwarding service.
One of the models featured is the Acer Cromia ($380). This model boasts a nice little 11.6" display with an impressive Intel Processor and a nifty 2GB of RAM. You should also look out for the slightly more expensive Samsung Series 5 ($430). This gives some better features for only a fraction more money, things such as a 12.1" display, a nice Intel Atom processor and 2GB of RAM.

Google Notebooks, or should we say netbooks, have a very stylish design and seem to be extremely easy to use. They are also very fast which means web browsing is set to become a relatively painless experience.

So is this the "future of computing?"

In my opinion there are still a few issues. Firstly there is the problem of getting your phone to sync to the computer if you have trouble installing the required software (like iTunes). How about if the Google Cloud goes down? Will you still be able to use all of the functions correctly or will there be issues? These are all questions that still need answering.

I think that currently a Google Notebook would make a great addition as a second computer, that would be used primarily for surfing the web and watching videos online. At the moment though there are probably better options out there at a cheaper prices, they may not be as fast as a chromebook but you have the luxury of more options. Google are also planning to add offline support for Gmail and Google Docs in future versions of the Chrome, so it is definitely something to keep your eye on.

Angry Birds Now Available for Windows PC

One of the most addictive and simplest video games – Angry Birds is out now for Windows PC. It’s available as a standalone game for your PC so that you can enjoy the previously MAC-only versions on your Windows computers as well.

As a beta version, Rovio Mobile, the creators of Angry Birds, released an online version some time ago that was powered with Flash. But that was just an experimental version to test the waters. The latest PC version is a genuine native Windows app, which needs no browser, no flash, and no other fancy slow-loading program to run. What is even better is that you don’t even need to be online to throw those pigs around.

Having played both the previous Flash-version, and, this PC Windows apps version, I can firmly say that this feels faster, lighter, and, better overall. The full-size mode fits your screen resolution whether you have a 14’’ monitor or 29’ lcd display on your table. There is a resize option as well to help you get that eagle-vision to understand the whole scenario.

Priced at $5, Angry Birds also give away a free fully-working demo that has some initial levels unlocked. Full-version is a monster of a game with 240+ levels that never seem to end. To make it even easier for you to order you can pay via PayPal or credit card.
